First Post: Airlies & Homemade Sushi

First post!
I know starting a food blog is pretty random but people should be spontaneous in life, yes??

Anyways, here is what I ate today :)

Went to Airlies for lunch. They specialize in sandwiches, but they have platters and salads too. It's on Commerce St, between Mulberry and Broad St in Newark. Pretty crowded around noon and looks like all the people who come here are from Prudential. Got my food after about 10 minutes of waiting.

I got the Sweet Lou, which is basically a hot chicken cutlet sandwich with melted mozzarella cheese, fried onions, and sweet peppers. So yummyyy. I adore melted cheese!!

My friend got the Chick in the Sun and it's grilled chicken with lettuce, sundried tomatoes, and melted mozzarella cheese. I'm seriously getting that next time I go...

After work, I made california rolls for dinner. It was so tiring but eating as I cooked helped a lot hehe. I even made my own spicy mayo sauce! It's so easy actually, just use the rooster chili sauce from Vietnamese places and mix it with mayo and sesame oil. Easy peasy.

As you can see, there are big mutant troll sushi rolls in the middle. I actually started not putting a lot of rice at a time (as you notice from the side), but then I found out I had too much rice left so I slushed them all into the last roll that I made instead of wasting them.
